What is OCPP Communication?
OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol) is an open communication protocol mainly used for communication between electric vehicle charging stations (also known as charging piles or charging points) and central management systems. OCPP aims to achieve interoperability of charging infrastructure, enabling charging equipment produced by different manufacturers to communicate effectively with different central management systems.
Client-server model:
Charge Point: As the client, it is responsible for communicating with the central management system.
Central System: As the server, it receives information from the charging station and issues instructions.
