Direct Start Method

Suitable for small power motors, simple and low cost, but with large current at startup, which may cause fluctuations in grid voltage.

Starting Method with Starting Capacitor or Resistance

  • Improve the starting torque and efficiency of the motor by adding capacitors or resistors, reduce the starting current, and minimize the risk of voltage fluctuations in the power grid.

Self-coupling Transformer Startup

  • Use the multi-tap voltage reduction of the autotransformer to adapt to the needs of starting with different loads, obtain greater starting torque, and are suitable for larger capacity motors.

Star-Delta Reduced Pressure Startup

For motors with a delta connection for the stator winding, start by connecting them in a star configuration to reduce starting current. After the start-up is complete, reconnect them in a delta configuration, suitable for no-load or light load starts.

Variable Frequency Drive Startup (Soft Start)

  • Adjust the speed and torque of the motor by changing the frequency of the power grid to reduce the impact of starting on the drive system and extend the service life of key components.

Inspection and Maintenance

Regularly inspect the interior of the motor, such as bearings, winding insulation, and fan blades, to ensure normal operation and avoid excessive current due to internal issues.

External Circuit Adjustment

Ensure stable voltage, correct capacitors and circuit wiring to avoid excessive motor current due to external circuit issues.
