What is a Power Diode?
Power Diode definition
Based on semiconductor PN, its on-off and off-off are completely determined by the voltage and current it undergoes in the main circuit, which can realize the function of positive on-off and reverse cutoff, and the power diode is an uncontrollable device.
How Power Diodes work
When the PN junction is applied with a forward voltage, that is, P→+, N→-, the external electric field is opposite to the internal electric field, and the diffusion motion is greater than the drift motion, resulting in a diffusion current.
