Measuring pen definition123
An electrical tool used to test electrical wiring for electrical power.
Measuring pen working principle
When measuring the live wire, there is a voltage U=220V between the live wire and the ground, and the resistance inside the measuring pen is usually about several megaohms. The current through the measuring pen (that is, the current through the human body) is very small, usually less than 1 mA. When such a small current passes through the human body, it will not hurt people, and when such a small current passes through the neon bubble of the measuring pen, the neon bubble will glow.
